50 Day Challenge of Random Things
Day 26: Do you believe in love at first sight - why?
Absolutely not. I believe in infatuation at first sight, but infatuation and love are two entirely different things (though the former is often mistaken for the latter). I think it takes months, even years for infatuation to truly become love…people will tell you that love at first sight exists because they’ve experienced it, but you’re hearing only the success stories (i.e., they think that because in their case the infatuation happened to progress into something more). For every instance of infatuation at first sight growing into love, I promise you there are many more where brief infatuation is the extent of it.
(I swear to God I’m not usually as much of a Debbie downer as this sounds like when it comes to love…this was just a very specific question!)

Day 25: How you see yourself by the end of your year?
Don’t want to jinx anything, but hopefully changed for the better from who I am right now.

Day 24: 2 pictures of you - one doing a funny face and the other one being serious.

I guess I don’t really make “serious” faces all that often, because the second picture was the closest thing I could find.

Day 23: 4 ways to win your heart.
1. Have a great smile.
2. Not be condescending.
3. Be very logical/rational.
4. Be able to laugh at yourself.

Day 22: 5 movies you recommend.
(500) Days of Summer, Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, Finding Nemo, Apollo 13, Without Limits.
Super random but I got bored the other day and started watching old episodes of ANTM. Years later, I still wonder…how the hell did Melrose not win? She will always be my favorite, from any cycle.

Day 21: Your favorite book and why.
Remember how on Friends, Joey and Chandler joked that Rachel claimed her favorite movie was Dangerous Liaisons, but that her actual favorite movie was Weekend at Bernie’s? Well, my answer to this question is admittedly kinda like that…
Usually when people ask, I’ll say Fahrenheit 451. I love it because I’m a big fan of science fiction books that take place in their own dystopias, as well as of books that take full advantage of the written form (i.e. don’t translate better as movies). Fahrenheit 451 is a perfect example of both of those things.
In reality, Fahrenheit might be my second favorite book, and my #1 might be The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. And that’s all I’m going to say about that.
I know those feels Jon, I know those feels.
